In a recent social media post, the Prime Minister urged every Indian to alter their profile pictures across various platforms to feature the National flag. This collective gesture is aimed at showcasing unity and nurturing the essence of nationalism. He emphasized that this act would serve to strengthen the connection between our nation and its citizens.
"In the spirit of the Har Ghar Tiranga movement, let us change the DP of our social media accounts and extend support to this unique effort which will deepen the bond between our beloved country and us," stated PM Modi in the post.
Prior to this, the Prime Minister encouraged citizens to share their favorite images of themselves alongside the national flag on the dedicated 'Har Ghar Tiranga' website.
"The Tiranga symbolizes the essence of freedom and national unity. Every Indian holds an emotional bond with the Tricolour, and it motivates us to put in greater efforts for the progress of our nation. I urge all of you to participate in the #HarGharTiranga movement between the 13th to 15th of August. Share your photos with the Tiranga here," wrote PM Modi.
The website provides an opportunity to feature in Digital Tiranga Art by uploading a selfie with the flag.
In a parallel effort to amplify the Indian Government's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative, approximately 2.5 crore national flags have been distributed to post offices for sale. A senior official from the culture ministry disclosed this information to PTI on Saturday.
"Har Ghar Tiranaga" rallies have been inaugurated in diverse regions of the country. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar initiated a bike rally involving Members of Parliament on August 11 in Delhi. Commencing from Pragati Maidan, the rally concluded at the Major Dhyan Chand stadium after traversing through the India Gate circle.
Similarly, in Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is set to lead a 'Tiranga Yatra' originating from the Sabarmati riverfront on August 14.
Reportedly, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, a prominent Congress leader, is also anticipated to participate in a Har Ghar Tiranga rally.
